Copyright & takedowns
Last updated 21 October 2026
Artists, writers and musicians are the heart of Hobby Circles. We respect creators' rights and remove work that is shared without permission.
Share only what you have the right to share
Share your own drawings, photos, writing and music, or work you have permission to share. Credit others when you talk about their work. Playing someone else's music in a recorded episode usually needs a licence.
Reporting a copyright problem
If you believe something on Hobby Circles infringes your copyright, email copyright@hobbycircles.app with:
- your name and contact details;
- the work you own (a link or description);
- where it appears on Hobby Circles (the circle link, who shared it, and when);
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner, or are authorised to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
This follows the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws elsewhere. We act on valid notices promptly. Most shared content only exists while a circle is open, so it may already be gone, but we will still act against repeat infringers.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have permission, email copyright@hobbycircles.app with your details, what was removed, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake. We may share your notice with the person who complained.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly share others' work without permission will be permanently banned.
