Terms of Service
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Mohyiddine Bennaceur for using Hobby Circles (hobbycircles.app). By signing in, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Hobby Circles.
1. What Hobby Circles is
Hobby Circles is a free service where people meet in live voice, video and text rooms (“circles”) organised around hobbies, with shared tools such as a drawing board, writing pad, podcast studio and focus timer. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old. By signing in you confirm that you are. We may close accounts we believe belong to someone younger.
You sign in with an email address you control. Keep access to that inbox private: anyone who can read your sign-in codes can use your account.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you create and share: drawings, writing, images, recordings and messages (“your content”). You give us a worldwide, free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit and display your content only as needed to run Hobby Circles for you and the people in your circles. This licence ends when your content is deleted.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it.
4. Rules you agree to follow
You agree to follow our circle guidelines. In particular, you must not share or do anything that is:
- illegal, or that encourages illegal activity;
- sexual, nude or sexually suggestive content of any kind, and anything at all that sexualises or endangers children;
- harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or intimidation;
- hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or similar;
- violent, graphic or self-harm content;
- someone else's copyrighted work without permission (see our copyright policy);
- someone else's private information, or recording people without telling them;
- spam, scams, advertising floods or impersonation;
- attempts to hack, overload, scrape or disrupt the service or other users.
5. Recording
The podcast studio lets a member record a circle's audio to their own device. Hobby Circles tells everyone in the circle when recording starts and stops. Whoever records is responsible for using the recording lawfully and for getting any consent the law requires before publishing it.
6. Moderation and account termination
Circle hosts can mute people and remove them from their circle. Anyone can report a member. We may review reports, remove content, and suspend or permanently ban any account or email address that breaks these terms or the guidelines, with or without notice. We may also report illegal content to the authorities.
You can stop using Hobby Circles at any time and delete your account from the menu on the home page.
7. Other people
Circles are live conversations with people we don't know personally. We don't check users' identities and we can't watch every room. You interact with others at your own risk. Never share passwords, money or personal details with people you meet, and leave any circle that makes you uncomfortable.
8. No warranty
Hobby Circles is provided free, “as is” and “as available”. We don't promise it will always work, be secure, or be free of errors, and we don't guarantee that calls will connect on every network.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Mohyiddine Bennaceur is not liable for content posted by users, for anything users say or do to each other, or for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Hobby Circles. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Donations
Hobby Circles has no ads and no paid plans. Donations (for example through “Buy me a coffee”) are voluntary gifts that help pay for servers. They don't buy any extra features or rights, and are handled by the donation platform under its own terms.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll show a notice on the site. Using Hobby Circles after an update means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Algeria, without taking away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
